PRINCE VALIANT "A Game of Valor"

Maker: Transogram
Number of Players: 2-6
Age Range: 10-Adult
Game Summary

This vintage (1955) game is based on Harold Foster's story Prince Valiant, Knight of the Round Table . The action takes the players through the seven adventures of Prince Valiant in his quest for knighthood. The winner of the game is the first player to reach the castle and be seated as Knight at King Arthur's Round Table.

This is a classic strip board game from the Transogram Game Co based on Harold Foster’s Knights of the Round Table. These old Transogram games are very hard to come by and they are definitely some of the more collectable board games out there. Condition: this game is in ok condition. There is some box wear. The box top has one taped corner, probably done sometime ago. The box top still has some clean awesome graphics but as stated a little wear. There is not much paper loss but a little browning to overall presentation. Not to awful bad but definitely worth mentioning. The game also has some foxing through out the game. The game board has two small brown spots that are on the inside of the board and has some paper loss on seam, about two inches. Also, there is one patch of paper loss on back of board.

Viking Figure from "Warrior's of the World" by Marx

My Warrior: "Ketil"

Marx was the name in toy soldiers for decades. They produced a dizzying array of figures from many periods of history and from around the globe, as well as in several different sizes. Perhaps the most commonly remembered of these is the Marx Warriors of the World series, which featured painted, hard plastic figures from The American Civil War, Vikings, Knights, Romans, Ancient Egyptians, American Revolutionary War, Pirates, Arab/French Foreign Legion, World War Two Russians, Japanese, British, Germans, French, and Americans, Cowboys, Indians, Victorian British Soldiers, Cold War-era Spies, and even explorer and adventurer figures based loosely on characters TV shows like Tarzan or Daktari, among others.

VIKINGS (yellow window box), Warriors of the World by Marx. 1st issue in window boxes. The paint configuration on some of these are different then the ones in the regular boxes. Boxes were mounted on store display board, so there is some damage to box backs, otherwise figure & card are mint. Handpainted, hard plastic miniatures. Each is mint in color illus. box, and comes with a color trading card.
